Beach Church Zoom Book Group!

Since May several of us have formed a book group that gathers via Zoom.  Besides the value of talking about thoughtful Christian books together, it’s a great way to connect with, pray for and support one another.

For our next round, we’ll be reading two books which deal with issues of loss and mortality, realities that impact us all.  We’d love to have you join us!  If you want to do so, please let Bill Cutler know (williamcutler@gmail.com).

We’ll read the books on our own in September and then meet via Zoom on Monday, October 9th to talk about them.   You can order the books on Amazon or other sellers.  They are:

The Lost Art of Dying: Reviving Forgotten Wisdom  by Lydia Dugdale MD

Lose, Love, Live by Dan Moseley

Lunch fellowship Bible study with Pastor Jim Coyl resumes for the season Wednesday, Oct. 11 at noon

Join us as we gather to engage with author and pastor Tim Keller in an eight-week, videobased study of the gospel and how to live it out in everyday life. In Week One you and your group will study the city, our home now—the
world, that is. Week Eight closes with the theme of the eternal city, our heavenly home—the world that is to come. In between, you’ll learn how the gospel changes our hearts, our community, and how we live in this world.

Gospel in Life is an invitation to all who seek to live the message of Jesus right here and right now…in our hearts, in our homes, and in the
community around us.
We will meet at 12:00 on Wednesdays in Randle Hall From October 11 thru November 29.
Refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring your lunch.

Session titles:
City - The World That Is
Heart - Three Ways to Live
Idolatry - The Sin Beneath
Community - The Context for Change Session
Witness - An Alternate City Session
Work - Cultivating the Garden Session
Justice - A People for Others Session
Eternity - The World That Is To Come

A Note from Interfaith Ministries:

The road construction on Gulf Breeze Pkwy. has presented problems for many, and we have not escaped them. Our Thrift Store donations and sales are down which we believe are due to travel conditions on Hwy. 98. Thrift Store sales provide our core funding along with the monetary donations from your organizations. This is the money used to provide services, (i.e., utilities, rent/mortgage assistance, gas, etc.) for struggling members of our community. Therefore, our fundraiser this October is more important than ever. Our needs include: prayers for a successful event, auction items, ticket sales. Please encourage the recipients of your newsletter to buy tickets to this fun event on Saturday, October 30, 5-8PM. If anyone can provide a donation for the auction, (gift cards, jewelry, pottery, event tickets, etc.) please call Lynn at 850-934-1688.

Thanking you ahead of time for your help in making this a successful fundraiser so more people in our community can be helped and feel that they are loved by our gracious God.

Donations may be dropped off at the church or sent to:

Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry, 4339 Gulf Breeze Parkway, GB 32563

Volunteers Needed!

Two vital community resources, the Interfaith Ministries Thrift Store and the Alfred Washburn Center, are both in need of volunteers on a regular basis. For more information and links to sign up, please see the "Serve With Us" section of our website by scrolling to the bottom of the homepage.

Simple words. Great Promise.

Your support of The Beach Church allows us to

keep moving forward, strengthening our future.

We thank each and every one of you for your continued sacrificial gifts.

Please know that they are extremely meaningful as we reopen,

and they are helping us spread the message of Christ

within our beach community, and surrounding areas.

You've made this possible, and we

THANK YOU!

See you on Sunday!
